A Week of Prayer

8th – 15th May 2016

Jesus Christ calls every person to follow him, and as Christians it’s our duty and joy to share that invitation. Join us as we share in a national week of prayer this Pentecost, from 8th – 15th May. Let’s pray for every Christian to receive new confidence and joy in sharing this life-transforming faith!

In addition to times of prayer during our regular services, throughout the week, there will be a number of other opportunities for everybody to join and share in prayer together.

Prayer Tree Ribbons

Throughout the week, will have a ‘Prayer Tree’ in our church yard. You are invited to come and tie a ribbon around the tree and pray for those whom you love, our town and our world.

Votive Candles

During the week, we will have votive candles in the church, for personal and private prayer with God.

Commuter Prayers

Throughout the week, we will be holding specia morning prayer events, to be held at 7:30am each day of the week for the early risers. These events will be an opportunity for fellowship and to share in prayer.

Praying for Five Friends

Praying for others to know Jesus is one of the most powerful things we can do; persistent prayer for others brings transformation to their lives.

Choose five people you would regularly like to pray for and write their names down onto a list. If you’re not sure who to pray for, ask God to guide you as you choose. Once you have settled on 5 names, commit to praying for them regularly.

The Week of Prayer will be a national event, and we look forward to sharing in this time of prayer together!
