“If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”
 (John 8 verses 31 and 32)

We are encouraged to keep on going by Jesus Himself. Life can be such a struggle at times, but if we listen to God and follow Him and His example we can achieve so much that will help and strengthen us and others too. Jesus Himself had to face hardship, trials and tribulation. On the first Easter He literally faced rejection, betrayal, an unfair trial and death on a cross. He deserved none of those things but He chose to go through all of them for us. The outcome was that He defeated and overcame Satan, sin and death for us all. After that He was raised to new resurrection life and purchased freedom for all of His followers.

By not giving in to the hardships that come our way in life, and staying steadfast in continuing with Jesus and living life His way we are able to know more and more about God and His love. As we love, follow and serve Jesus we truly do find freedom from all that is not in line with God and His ways, but it is not always easy.

 “Lord, (when all around me
seems to work against all that is good),
make me an instrument of your peace……
Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon.
Where there is doubt, faith.
Where there is despair, hope.
Where there is darkness, light.
Where there is sadness, joy.”
Amen.
