“In the beginning …..
God created the heavens and the earth ….
God called the dry land Earth, and the waters that were
gathered together he called Seas ….
So God created …. every living creature that moves
And God saw that it was good.”
(Genesis 1 verses 1 – 25)

One of God’s greatest blessings to us is the beautiful world that surrounds us—trees, flowers, mountains, deserts, oceans, birds, animals. What a great gift we have received! In these days when there is much around that speaks of the griefs and sadnesses of life it can be helpful to take time to stop and marvel at the goodness of God’s creation; maybe to
take some moments to go for a walk, look through the window or go into the garden and look at all the natural beauty with which we are gifted.
It won’t remove our difficulties but it may help us put things into a larger perspective, to think of God the creator who is also God the redeemer. God’s creation is a gift for us to value and treat with care. It can also be a window that allows us to perceive a little more of how much our Creator God loves us.

“Dear God,
Thank you for the gift of the
natural beauty that surrounds us.
Inspire us to be responsible stewards of your creation
and to treat it with love and care”.
